The Chestnut Cat Sanctuary & Rescue Centre [Epping] are delighted to announce a new Partnership with the nationwide Pets at Home chainstore, where they are piloting a scheme at the Romford [Essex] branch to promote adoption (Cats, Rabbits and Dogs) under the title " Support Adoption ... a second chance of happiness".
Once a month, commencing Saturday & Sunday 28th. & 29th. October 2006 we will appear at the Romford store with collection box and our range of cat ceramics to sell, all in support of the Sanctuary funds.
Future events may include face painting & Fancy dress!
We are allowed to advertise [in-store] individual cats desperately seeking homes and even though the scheme is not yet fully underway, we are already getting calls coming in.
We would like to thank Pets at Home as this is a TREMENDOUS opportunity to not only home more cats but also to raise funds. The store is bending over backwards to help us and will have posters in the window before each event. Hopefully this pilot scheme will prove a success and will then be launched nationwide to the benefit of other Rescue centres.
